Adenoma velloso apendicular: reporte de un caso

El adenoma velloso del apéndice cecal es una entidad patológica rara que tiene una forma clínica particular de presentación diferente a los demás adenomas vellosos de otras partes del tubo digestivo. Se presenta paciente femenina octogenaria con dolor abdominal en fosa ilíaca derecha que fue, desde el inicio, interpretada como apendicitis aguda del anciano por ausencia de antecedentes patológicos personales o asociación con otras entidades más frecuentes a la edad de la paciente. Fue intervenida y se envía la pieza al servicio de Anatomía Patológica para estudio, encontrándose un diagnóstico poco común e infrecuente.
