Abstract

The life and work of Dr. José Manuel Garrido Echazábal, a native of Bejucal, in the current Mayabeque province, is presented. Leading personality of Cuban and Mayabeque medicine, doctor by profession and specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Standing out for his work, teaching and research career. Over time, he has made unparalleled contributions to medicine and teaching in the training of new generations. His eminent work as a Consulting Professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences Mayabeque is recognized at the municipal, provincial and national level by generations of health professionals.
